OK Guys FNG Here and I have a question. I have an annoying tick that's very intermittent but non the less driving me up the wall. I Have a 99 Grand Am Se and it seems to be a switch like flipping sound, It seems to be behind the Hazards and Trac button on the center of the console. I have been messing around and just discovered that when you barley move the signal lever it will make the sound.....What say ye? I think its a relay but can't make it to the LPS until tomorrow so just looking for input.

THX GUYS!

So the OCD kicked in and I have narrowed it down to the Signal arm, any light movement with make the tick. So new question do you guys think I have to replace the whole arm or might it be a relay / fuse. I pulled the fuse and it was good but the heads of the fuse were kinda nasty looking.

Mazin, oddly enough, my 2000 Grand Am just started doing the same thing yesterday. It's truly maddening. Have you been having any other electrical issues lately as well? I originally assumed the problem was related to an intermittent erratic idol accompanying surges in my whole electrical sytem (when it would idol rough, all the lights inside and outside would surge in time with the engine). It actually stalled out after I got home and parked in my driveway last night.

Perhaps it was just a coincidence, in which case I still have a lot of troubleshooting ahead of me... I'm very interested in seeing what fixes your problem.

I'm pretty much convinced it is all in the signal arm so I am going to replace that and go from there. I will post up when done.
