Ticking noise in my 96 Trans Am....HELP!!!

I just got this 96 Trans Am and when I test drove it- it was perfect. I have had it for 3 days now and noticed a ticking noise in the engine today. Its on top of the engine....what can it be? and are these motors solid lifters or hydraulic lifters? its the LT1 V8 PLEASE HELP ME IM SCARED!!!

Have you tried adding oil?

its hydraulic roller lifters and did you check the oil level when cold?
