Tappet clearance value. If in this engine included regulation hydraulic tappet, or mechanical regulation?

According to my Haynes Manual (#38040) for this vehicle, valve lash is set with hydraulic lash adjusters. By the manual, page 2B-4 and 2B-5, they should be easily visible after removing the overhead camshaft and rocker arms.

Previous reply was for the was for the 3.6L engine, the same manual also has the 3.4L engine and it's a pushrod V6 arrangement with roller hydraulic lifters (pages 2A-11 through 2A-13). Get ready for a pretty extensive teardown on this. It looks like you have to pull the valve covers and the entire intake to get to this.

No, you should not have to change the head, you'll have to pull the valve cover, the rocker arms, the intake, the pushrods. Make sure you keep them all in order, and with the same cylinder/valve. Haynes makes a good manual based on a teardown and reassembly of a Torrent/Equinox. I would suggest that. They may even make it in your language.

Your best be would be a factory service manual from Helm. More $ than the hanes, but vehicle specific.
