Hi guys, my transmission is hesitating during shifts, more noticeable when warm. 200,000km, all highway driving. Apparently the filter is internal so only easy option is to I would like to change the fluid right now but can't figure out where the dipstick location is? Took it to my local garage and we can't find it.
Anyone experience these symptoms before, any suggestions?

Thanks.

there is no dipstick and maybe you need a new local garage if they dont k now how to check the fluid level! The vehicle is placed on a lift and the plug on the side of the transmission case is removed, the fluid should be level with the hole when warm with the engine running. If you have never replaced the filter and fluid it is way over due.

Thanks for the response. sounds like this transmission is inspected and serviced same way as a standard transmission. didn't know that. is it true the filter is internal and the transmission needs to be removed to replace?

also curious how robust these transmissions are, do you figure fluid and filter change should get it back onto the road or are these 6 speed transmissions known for failing?

You drop the pan and change the filter just like any other automatic. Have no way of knowing how well the transmission was maintained in the past 200k so changing the filter and fluid is the least expensive option. Any transmission will be prone to fail if not maintained.
