Hi Guys,

Been having choke/fast idle problems with my 84 T/A. Choke would stick on, even pushing down the choke lever by hand, it would still kick back on after blipping the throttle.

I've changed the electric choke coil, its improved, but it still won't kick off to kerb idle. If I push choke lever down now by hand it now stays off with the motor hot.

Guessing a small adjustment is needed.....anyone help?

regards,

John

Update..

Been out for a run, and choke coil IS pulling the choke fully off, but it took around 15 mins of driving.
I've loosened the coil, and rotated it clockwise around 15-20 degrees.
Now waiting for the motor to fully cool down to try again.

Your fast idle screw needs to be backed off. With the engine cold, start the engine and set fast idle at 1100 rpm.
