Transmission Govenor 350 Turbo Trans. '79 Firebird?

What does the transmission govenor look like? Where is it located? What are the steps in replacing it? Is there anything that I need to look out for when doing the task? Any help is greatly appreciated!

before I would replace it I would make sure that is the issue ... they seldom wear out non shifting or incorrect shift timing can be caused by many things ..
the govenor is located on the side of the trans under a round cover held by a metal strap ..
what exactly are you trying to do by changing it ?
