I was trying to siphon some gasoline from a 99 Montana. Hose goes in but seems to get caught at the entrance to the tank. End of hose gets wet but doesn't go into the tank. Is there a screen at the end of the filler pipe?
here is a picture of the fuel tank diagram you can see the filler neck has a sharp curve on it, the hose your using may be getting stuck at the curved section of filler neck.
here is a video on how to replace a fuel pump on a similar vehicle, going by this video.
You may need to have a large drain pan under the tank and pull the fuel filler line from the side of the tank, then use a rattle type siphon hose to siphon out the rest of the fuel. provided you cannot get a hose down the filler neck.
