Turns Over BUT Wont start

My car just sits and turns over as if there's no spark or no fuel.
Tested fuel pump. GOOD.
Replaced Distr Cap & Rotor. And it starts.
Next morning. Car turns over but wont start.
Rolled it down the incline and jump started her by popping the clutch.
QUESTION:
Why won't it just start without the hassle. Is there an immobilizer switch that I should change out?
HELP Please.

either no fuel or no spark, you will have to recheck when it doesnt start
when you say tested fuel pump, did you use a pressure gauge?
do you have power to the coil both in the run position and the crank positions?

No, there is no imobilizer on the Fiero.

When it doesn't start next time - Look at the tach. Does it rise to 200 rpm during cranking and then fall back to zero? It should. If not look at the primary ignition system.

I don't have a simple answer why it wouldn't start on the starter but did when you popped the clutch. Perhaps it was cranking too slow.
