Upgrade my 1964 OEM Pontaic LeMans Convertible?

I am torn I have a 1964 Pontiac LeMans one owner "my fatrher in law". He passed anf kept jis car garaged hoping one day to fix up and drive. Only thing he changed besides maintenace items was re painted and the top replaced. Tires at one point too. All maintennace records kept. I only use once a month she has 65,000 original miles. Do I upgrade the brakes or suspension or leave all stock. 4 wheel drum brakes? thoughts?

How do you feel about the brakes and the ride? I would pull the 4 brake drums and check the amount of wear. If you are unsure about how old the shock absorbers are or they show signs of leaks you can replace them with modern gas shocks. Good luck with the car.
