Hello everyone. I have a 1997 grand prix gt 3800 series 2. It has 125,000 miles. Recently started leaking coolant internally, I discovered a warped upper intake manifold. I have removed the spark plugs, drained the oil and coolant and have cleaned up the milkshake as best as possible, but realized that there is coolant in the combustion chamber.
I'd like to know if this is normal for a uim failure and can the coolant be removed and I continue my repairs. Or is the coolant in the combustion chamber sign of another issue.

That's the normal result of the UIM failure. Remove the spark plug or plugs and crank the engine over to blow it out. After you have everything back together start the engine to burn any remaining fluid and then immediately change the oil and filter.

yea, just found out that that cylinder must be tdc. Thanks for the response. Another quick question though. Does anyone sell the plastic tip to the fuel injector. The pintle cap i believe its called, and are they functional

The O ring is replaceable but not the whole tip.

I seen the pintle caps and was hoping to get away with just replacing it. I appreciate the information, was very helpful, thanks
