Have a quadrajet 4 barrel just bought for my 400. Carb had 2 smaller ports and the 1 larger port on the front of carb. Also had a threaded port on rear at bottom. My pcv valve is already hooked up to a port on my intake. Here are my lines that I need to hook up. Power brake booster, distributor advance, heater valve, transmission and 2 lines that are coming from the interior. Can I hook my brake booster to the large port in front and just tee the remaining lines to the other 2 ports on front? Should I cap the fitting in rear or maybe put a fitting on and use for the distributor?

The normal setup was the brake booster goes to the back along with the interior lines.
The transmission goes to a constant vacuum source in the front.
The heater also needs constant vacuum.
From the factory the distributor was connected to a ported source, for emissions purposes, in the front that did not supply vacuum at idle only above idle.
Performance is better along with cooler running at idle if the distributor is connected to constant vacuum.
So it sounds like you need the metal fitting for the back of the carburetor along with some plastic "T"s.

thanks. I purchased the metal citting for the back that has the 1 larger port for the booster and a smaller port teed of it. Problem is it does not fit the threads are just a bit too large. Will need to see if I can find a fitting to reduce it down a size.

can I run the brake booster off the larger port in front?
