valve cover

I bought an 88 2m4 project and just took out on it's maiden voyage after wrenching on it most of the summer. I replaced the valve cover gasket but it is slobbering oil like the exxon valdez. The PCV valve seems to be ok, what am I missing here?

Did you check the side access cover?
It sits on the side of the block just below the head. It is designed so you can access the lifters without removing the head. These side cover leak often as they just used a silicone sealant.

Make sure you clean both surfaces and use the black high temp sealer. This appears to last longer.
