Hi Everyone,
I could use help from a Firebird expert. I am looking to buy a 1980 Firebird Formula. I am told the car is all original with 25K miles. My question is with the VIN. The seller sent me a pic of the VIN as well as the title. The second character is a V. My Firebird VIN decoder indicates a 1980 should have a W as the second character and a V would be a VIN from 72-74. Can anyone shed any light as to whether any 1980 models actually had a V as the second character in the VIN and why? Thanks in advance for any guidance you can share.
