Hi there everyone! I have a 2005 Pontiac sunfire. Yesterday, I realized that when I turned on my headlights, the running light icon on the control panel did not go off. Later that night, I attempted to use my high beams and they would not go on because the headlights were not on. When I "turn them on" the dash still lights up. All other lights still work.

Today, I replaced the right headlight fuse and the left headlight fuse in the control panel fuse box. I also checked the headlight fuse (BATT 1 I believe) in the engine compartment fuse box. I was unable to replace the running lamp relay (if that would even help?) Any suggestions for what you think might be wrong would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Both windows also do not work (the switch won't put them down). This happened a month ago, but I'm thinking I need to replace a fuse for that too. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

were the fuses you replaced burnt out? have you checked the bulbs?

The fuses weren't burnt out. Haven't checked the bulbs yet, but that's my next plan. Just seems odd that they would both go out at the same time, but maybe I didn't notice the first one going out. If both bulbs were out would I have the DRL light on and not turn off when I attempted to turn on the headlights?

cannt tell you whether the DRL would stay on
