what are the common problems of a 1987 pontiac firebird?

I'm looking at buying a firebird for my first car, it has been sitting since 2003. It still turns over, it needs a new fuel line to start, and I know that I will need to replace all of the rubber because of dry rot. I just need to know any common problems that could screw me over, I can't sink more than 2k max on it.

Depending on your location I would look for rust, and or wear in suspension components, steering, struts, etc..
also the drivetrains are prone to some small issues depending on which engine/ transmission you have ...
overall they can be pretty reliable cars.. but with anything thats been sitting that long I would be cautious ..
