i have a 1995 firebird with the stock 3.4L engine and i want to put in a v8 lt1 350. i am not very smart when it comes to cars and i dont kno very much so i was just wondering what all i would have to buy to make the swap. what all would i have to change? i can get someone to do the work for me so please no comments like if i dont kno alot i shouldnt make the swap.
thanks

New brackets and a welder? WTF? lol

Obviously you need the complete motor, wiring harness w/pcm, transmission since the V6 one won't bolt up, radiator is different, motor mounts. That's all the stuff off the top of my head.

A few guys have done the swap over there.

I'm going to be honest...the swap isn't cheap nor is it quick. You're going to spend a big chunk of $$$ on a car that's not worth much. To each their own..if you have the $$ to spend then go for it.

Hopefully the guy knows what he's doing.

Need alot of new brackets and welder to start. Going to be a pain in your ass for sure.

dont..trade in the car for one you want...even a good mechanic will spend weeks and thousands to get the switch right...
