what is the biggest size rims I can put on my 1996 pontiac sunfire?

what is the biggest i can have without messing with the suspension or severly shaving my fenders

I believe they offered 16" rims on some of them I would not go any bigger or you may encounter problems with the wheel bearings and alignment ..
Plus it just looks stupid with the big wheels ...
