I am very worried about my car. When I stop at a stoplight or stop sign it chokes and then dies. It doesn't do it all the time..just occasionally. It's been doing it off and on for about 3 months now. Last month i was in Oklahoma City and my car seriously died at every stoplight. I have had to replace 4 ac compressors just this summer..could the compressor have something to do with it? This problem didn't start until i replaced the first compressor. and the compressors...my origional got a leak so we had it replaced with a new one...the replacement was good for about 2 months..it was brand new. It had a leak so we had it replaced with a used one. it was bad so we had it replaced with another new one..it lasted less than a week then it went out..no leak or anything..it just quit. the 4th is getting put in today. WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY CAR??
I really like the car. and i would like to avoid getting a new one for at least another year but it is getting so expensive to keep fixing it over and over again. I would like to get whatever is wrong with it fixed and just get it over with.

Compressors will do that, it will make your car die like that, go with out it and then run your car.

Wow, bad luck. I'd go w/out AC.
You can determine if it's the compressor by getting a new belt for the car that bypasses the compressor. If it never happens again, you've found your problem.
As to why your car eats compressors for breakfast... no clue.
