I have a 1997 Pontiac Grand Am, my break lights went out, and my dashboard lights are out, so its totally undrivable at night. I would like to know what number or which fuse i need to get them to start working again, please!! anything will be helpful!! Thanx

You can download a PDF copy of your Owner's Manual here;
http://www.gm.com/gmownercenter/pontiac/

You have to register with your Yahoo! I.D. Information on fuses starts on page 6-59.

The instrument panel light fuse is the same one as your taillights and stuff, so if those are out too, there's a good chance it is just the fuse. That one is marked TAIL LPS.

The one for the brake light is marked STOP HAZ. There is also a diagram, in case they are hard to read.

No info on fuse sizes (# of amps), so you should replace with the same as what's in there now.

The fuse will b easy to tell if its blown. only put the same amp fuse as you take out . if u are notsure wich fuse it is ,take one fuseout ,inspect it if u think its ok put it back in & try the next one along.

I once had a grand-am inside the fuse panel cover it showed what was what.
