It should go straight up (the one on the cam). You can advance the cam on it 1 tooth for added performance. BUT it will run colder than normal and you may see codes from the computer.

iam not sure but i think it sets at 6 oclock and 12 oclock .if you got a timing belt you should have a guage hole on your cam gear if so then line it up and put a drill bit or something in it so it wont turn ,then alighn the crank at top dead center and put on the belt,and release the tensioner.good luck.
