Hey folks,

New here, just bought a 72 lemans Sport and would like to put in a rebuilt engine, not sure of the condition of present one. (been played with)

When looking for engines what years can I look for to fit into the car. Either 350 or 400.

Thanks for any help.

The only other thing to consider is if you want to use your current accessory brackets without having to swap intakes you need to look for 1969 to 1972 model year engines. You can use other 1965 to 1979 engines, but the other model year engines will require a bit of parts changes like the timing cover and intake manifold with your current parts. And if you use a 1973 to 1979 heads you need to get the correct intake gaskets to swap over the earlier intake manifold style.

Good luck and keep us posted on what you end up doing!
