What's wrong with my friend's '97 Pontiac Fiero GT?

The left front tire is extrememly hot. He thinks the brake maybe stuck. Any advice on how to fix it would be nice.

WIthout looking at the vehicle I would say the caliper is hanging up. There is a recall on the Fieros braking system. You may call a Pontiac dealer and see if that's been done.

I had this very same problem. Turned out to be the brake cable. The short cable tends to collapse inside. Looking at the cable on the outside, it looks fine. I replaced mine & the caliper works fine now.
