when you replace a atomatic Shifter in a 68' firebird with a turbo 350 Trans. what do you...

...do??? im going to be putting in a new shifter for my 68' firebird. Im putting in a B&M Shifter that matches the specs. of the Trans. Im pretty sure all i have to do is replace the shift cable and drill in the new one. Is this correct??? i need some help to make sure this is right. Thanks

Depending on the shifter you should not have too much trouble just drilling some holes for it to bolt down and to put the cable through , as long as you can get the car off the ground far enough to work under it you should not have any issues , just follow the instructions with the shifter as far as adjustment..
