I have a 2003 Pont. Sunfire GT with a 2.2L Ecotec engine. I recently had a large amount of oil drop to the ground with no preceding oil leak on the right side (passenger) of the car.

My engine oil, hydraulic clutch, and brake fluid levels are normal. The power steering fluid is down a bit but not nearly the amount that dropped to the ground.

The entire right side of the engine, engine bay, and pulleys/belts are coated with oil....

Any help would be great....thanks.

I worked at Pontiac for 5 years as a technician. Check for a leak at the timing cover, very common on these cars. On the passenger side of motor, also check the head gasket and valve cover.

they willl go from the upper rear passenger side of the engine where the p/s pump is all the way across the back side of the engine on the fire wall and connect to the rack and pinon on the drivers side of the car up buy the fire wall. could be a seal on the p/s pump that has gone bad too.
