Where is the fuel filter

Hello. I have a 2005 pontiac montana sv6. I'm in the middle of a tune up and I can not find the fuel filter to save my life. I have searched the internet and look everywhere that it sai it should be. I have followed the frame rail from front to back. I followed the fuel lines from front to back amd still nothing. I looked up the fuel filter for my vehicle and gave me this part number. Is there by any chance it is tied into the fuel pump. I know my dodge ram doesn't have one as it is in with the fuel pump. Any help would be great. Thanks

Thanks for the link. However I still don't see it. I have changed many filters so I know what I am looking for. Sometimes they are in the strangest places. I was reading on the link you sent me and I noticed that it said the sv6 does not have a fuel pressure regulator. Could the sv6 not have a fuel filter as well? I have looked at the frame rail from front to back and the followed the fuel lines and still no luck. I guess it is no big deal right now there is nothing wrong with it. I am just doing a complete tune-up on it before we go on vacation. We have had this vehicle for almost 4 years now and I have never changed the fuel filter. Think it is about due if I can find it or if it even has one. Thanks
 
which engine do you have, the 3.4 shows a filter at autozone, the 3.5 doesnt.

I have the 3.4L. I already picked up the part before I started looking for it and that is where I got it at.
 
I'm such a dumba$$. I do have the 3.5l in that vehicle so I do not have a fuel filter. I guess I just got mixed up on all the other vehicles that I worked on in the past and what I currently have now. Thanks for the input and wasting your time trying to help me out.
 
No problem glad we got the mystery solved
 
fuel filt

I have an 06 small engine no external filt. Its in the tank.

I've searched every which way to Sunday and can't find it either, I think it's in the tank
