where is the fuel pump in a 1987 firebird v6 2.8 muti port?

I am pretty sure the fuel pump is located in the tank.

Yes it is. You need a fuel pressure gage to check for pressure. There should be 40-45 pounds with the key on motor off. Look on the fuel rail. There should be a tire valve looking fitting. The gauge hooks up to that.
