where is the ignition coil located on a 1997 pontiac grand am?

according to a couple of auto parts stores, we need an ignition coil, not an ignition cylinder. However I can't seem to find where that is on my car. even by looking at the manual, i can't find it.
 
Depends on the motor.

The V6's ignition coil pack is directly on the back of the motor. Look right behind the upper intake and you'll see a row of six plug wires. There are three coils altogether, each with two terminals.

I have no experience whatsoever with the 2.4 Twin Cam motor.
