where could i take a 1997 lt1 ta engine to get it bored, replace the heads cam piston and rods...

depends on where you live, In canada there is a place called, MOPAC. There might be one in the states too. I dont know.
I would go to a couple car shows or cruise nights in your area and talk to everyone you can that has had a chevy motor rebuit. I have aways found that word of mouth is the best way to find a good rebuilder. Just remember that cheaper is not better because you get what you pay for. Good luck.
