...Am? I want to wire a small interior light to be on constantly whenever the headlights are on (i.e. dark conditions). I'm not sure which fuse to wire it to. I'd like to wire it to the same fuse that controls the backlight of the instrument panel, radio buttons, etc. (that comes on in nighttime conditions) but I'm not sure which one it is.
There are a few I suspect:
INST LPS - Interior Lamp Dimming
INT LPS - Interior Courtesy Lamps

I'm hopeful some auto electronic guru can guide me in the right direction.
I'm not to savvy with car wiring; where can I find the switch, is it in the fuse box somewhere?

It sounds like something hooked up to the rheostat (instrument panel dimmer) might be what you're looking for. Most GM cars have that funny little wheel on the left side of the dash to control that. That way it would be on whenever you have your lights on, and you could also adjust the power to it, if you install it on the right side of the circuit. I can't find a wiring diagram right now, but I can get a hold of one tomorrow, and I'll bookmark this to remind me to check back in with you then.

It looks like this circuit is a little more complicated than I realized. I did find the wiring diagrams, but they're a little big to upload. I see that there seems to be some way to e-mail me. If you want to send me your regular e-mail address, I could send them out to you, and maybe you could link to them on a photo-hosting site or something?
