Which to buy 1981 or 1979

I have the choice between a 1981 Recaro edition turbo trans am and a 1979 Trans am. Which one do you guys think is a better buy?

1981- 100k Miles. 301 turbo engine. Recaro edition. Paint needs to be done.

1979- 129k Miles. 6.6 403 engine. Red on black. Paint needs to be done in some spots.

The prices are similar.

Yea I'll be having it checked. Only problem is that it's 4 hours away. Which couuuulllddd be a pain in the butt. But it's worth it for the car right?

Any special reason you think the 79 is the better buy?

I think the overall performance of the 403 will be better than the 301 even with the turbo.
