Whine after water pump replacement

I just changed the water pump on a 06 solstice, using the correct specified sprocket holder and its whining..... Any ideas would be helpful..

It was a reman w/p from oreilly...

do you have a stethoscope or a hollow tube/hose to pinpoint whether the noise is coming from the pump?
