why are first generation firebirds worth and sale for about half of what 1st generation camaros sell for when they have the same chasis and in most cases look the same?

its not the similarities you should be looking at. the differences between them are what set them apart, in price and as cars.

because for some reason Chevy's have always been a lot more popular than Pontiac's have, i had a 68 firebird that was a great little muscle car and it would beat lot of Chevy,s but yet when i went to sell it ,i didn't get what i should have got for it,and it actually had nicer interior and was more sporty looking than the camaro was, there are a few of the older firebirds though that will bring some real good money ,some of the factory 4 speed cars with the 350 or the 400 was real fast cars and they sell really good,i know where one is at right now and the guy was offered forty grand for it and wont take it,but he bought it new and it only has about 50 thousand on it,some like that are still valuable,i think all of them should be considered valuable, they was as popular then as the camaro was,i know we sure used to have fun racing mine, good luck.
