i bought a 1985 pontiac fiero gt 4 speed. when i bought the car it ran brand new the people that owned it changed alot of parts and cleaned alot of shit. i noticed that the distributor cap only had one screw holding it down (there should be two) so i grabbed two larger self tapping screws and fed em through it so that it would hold it down to keep the car from randomly dieing (felt like all the power was turned off while driving) so i bought a new cap just to make sure that it wasnt the cap and screwed it on and now randomly the car will go under 500rpms and just die. the plugs and cables are all good not sure why but ill just be driving and it will die or it will chugg from 500rpms to 2500 rpms in a violent jerking motion.
