Why is low oil level light on when all oil levels are just fine.This is referring to

Pontiac Grand am SE 1994? i replaced the oil decentand the car seems to get oil just not enough to make the light go off . some say the oil pump or berings but im also told if it were those 2 things the car would be stopping or something. the car runs fine for now no noise or anything however if it is something bad im afriad it will ruin my engine .. anyones with any suggestions please help or email me pj_pillow@yahoo

If it's full of oil and makes no noise you need to replace the oil pressure sending unit.
 
There are two seperate senders for the oil pressure and the oil level, if the oil level is the light you are seeing the level sensor is probably bad ..
It is located in the oil pan near the front by the pulleys or the side of the pan near the bottom depending on what engine you have .. check it and the wireing going to it as the wires sometimes get tangled in stuff under the car and pull out giving a false reading..
