its a 3.4L V6 and there supposed to get around 19/28 MPG. but mine for some reason is just terrible. i just recently changed the oil. i do occasionally drive it hard but i dont run the shit out of it. if i did the math right even if i got 19 miles a gallon, with a 15 gal. tank i should be getting at least 285 miles on a tank. but im only getting close to 200 maby 190. thats only about 13 or 14 miles a gallon. because of it being a floating hand i dont let it get to low ill fill it up at around an 8th of a tank but still i should be getting way more what im getin. a 3.4L is a medium sized v6 but if i new i would get that mpg i would have just got a 5.7. if anyone has any advice plwase help me out.
o sry lol i dont run the crap out of it
incase you cant figure out the marked out word

Needs a tune up change air filter might be the problem. But also keep in mind automatic get bad gas mileage

You do get better mileage witha standard, but there could be a number of factors. You did say you drive it hard every once in a while, and that can hurt your mileage for each tank of gas you have.

Also, I know it sounds crazy, but make sure you're putting premium gas in it. F-Bodies are designed for this, so you will actually consume higher octane fuel at the same rate, but find more efficiency when it comes to power.

Still, I would take it in to have it looked at. Check your air filter, oil, and make sure your spark plugs are ok.

It's kind of low for a V6 considering my 1995 T/A (LT1) is getting 18 mpg during the work week and up to 28 mpg on road trips with an automatic transmission.
