The electrical fan in my sunfire isn't turning on when its supposed to. So when it gets hot outside it causes my temperature gage to rise, almost causing my car to run hot. I took it to a mechanic and he told me it would cost 70-90 dollars to replace the switch because he had to get the part from a dealer, I believe its the temperature sensor switch that he was referring to. So I wanted to get some feedback to see if this is too much money for the part or should I go to another mechanic. Shouldn't an Auto Zone or some place like that carry these parts?

Try to see if a local parts store carries it. It should be available on the aftermarket

I am having the same issue did you ever find the temp.senser switch and where is it on the motor?

Advance Auto parts carries it
