Why won't the brake lights come on in my 1999 Pontiac Sunfire?

The turn signal lights and the emergency flashers come on, and so does the extra brake light on the spoiler. However, the tail light brakes won't come on. I've replaced the bulbs and checked the fuses, and that's not the problem. Any ideas?
 
probably wiring problem which is gonna be harder to fix,. your only option now is to go to mechanic store and get an estimate to how much it will cost to get it fixed, they will also tell you what the problem is too, they should do this for free.

if you have time, you can find out the problem from them, and then try to look up info on how to fix it by yourself, although i dont recommend it if you arent that good with wiring and stuff.
 
Brake light switch, under dash, near brake pedal, needs to be replaced
 
mabey just mabey there messed up but who knows
