This is on a 97 with the 2.2L engine. What would cause the #4 cylinder to fill with raw fuel. Other cylinders are ok.
This is at a shop but my pockets aren't deep enough to keep the mechanic guessing. They changed the fuel regulator figuring that was the problem. Then found it was only the #4 cylinder so they tried an injector. Still no improvement. Then he was going to change out the fuel rail (with a used one), but then found that in 97 the rail is integrated with the intake manifold.
That's where i told him to hold off.
I'm several hours away from the car so cannot look myself. This is info from my kid and the mechanic.
