I am at my wit's end with this car. I am a competent shade tree mechanic and I hate this thing. 2007 Pontiac Torrent AWD with the 3.4 (if I remember correctly). 81,xxx miles. No codes/check engine light. Here are the issues that I cannot figure out:
Car falls flat on its face around the 1500 rpm range. You have to stomp the gas and make it downshift to get it to go again. Plugs, wires, and coil have all been replaced multiple times.
Speedometer works intermittently. Sometimes it will read just fine, sometimes it will be stuck at 150 mph, and sometimes it will start at 60 mph and act like that's the new 0.
Air bag light. Enough said.
Sometimes it will decide that it wants to keep the key in the ignition and will not let it go. She has to wait and fiddle with it before it will let it go.
Any advice at all before I take it to a dealership will be greatly appreciated.
