I have a 69 and am looking to buy a 01' Trans Am WS6... I would like to swap the LS1 + tranny and rearend, but am unsure as to whether the swap is possible.

Yes, the LS1 swap is absolutely possible...however it's not easy nor cheap. I wouldn't bother swapping in that junk 10-bolt rear from the WS6...they're complete garbage. You're better off spending the $$$ on an aftermarket 12 bolt from Moser or Strange.
