We re trying to put in a new regulator and window motor, although it looks complicated ... does anyone know where I could find a site that explains how to do this, or some simple steps ... as its' very hard to get at .. any help would be appreciated.

what type of vehicle? has the reg/motor been swapped out by the previous owner, Reason I ask is if they havent been swapped out before chances are its rivited to the door. if ur doors are fiberglass, good luck, because the fiberglass will be chipping around the rivits making the rivit hole bigger. which could cause ur window to not roll up straight :( First thing I did was roll the window all the way up and applied duck tape to the bottom of the window, this will hold the window up for ya. when you go for the motor assembly, along with the tracks the wheels roll on. Take that out as 1 unit! Becareful after you unscrew everything the spring is probably under tension and you could get hurt. Well hope this helps out alittle, this isnt a very fun, easy job.

I had to replace the driver side motor on my 97 WS6 TA, took me a whole weekend to do mine . Good Luck

It's a 97 2 door sunfire, the original motor and regulator are there but not working. We found new ones to put in, but because its on the inside of the door and the panel, its so hard to get inside and since we dont know how to do it doesnt make it easier. I do believe thought there are ribits.
