Ok I bought a 2001 montana and the window switch is bad so iam getting the whole one at a junk yard, But the houseing that it snaps into is broke and i cand find on no place. i need to know how it comes off. it looks like its one piece along with the door handle houseing,. thanks

I thought the switch was part of the assembly that houses the other window switch and door lock button(if it's the driver side) and that plastic assembly came out by prying at one end ? You can goto this website and order one . carpart.com or I guess a new one at gmpartsdirect.com Good luck and keep us posted.

Alot of times it's the regular assembly that goes south (motor and gears) also some how the track gets bent and the window goes real slow the speeds up once past the bent part a good lubing will some times fix this.

Mabe iam not exlaining myself the right way. I have the window switch on the window switch is two switches for the windows and one for the mirror. this whole thing snaps into the armrest area. the part it snaps into is broke so the switch can not snap in. i need to know how to get that part off. ill send pictures if no one gets this.

It sounds like you need the door panel if I am understanding this. You could epoxy(super glue) it down if you cant find one. Just a dap so if you ever have to remove you can.

So the plastic dosn't come off? I have to get the whole door panel? Super glue here i come. Thanks everyone.

just took a look at my 03 and it does look like that black piece is separate from the door panel but you would probably have to buy the whole door panel if you are buying used, now if you are buying new it may be sold separately but the dealership would have to look that up or you could try this link.
