My wiper blades on my 96 sunfire like to stay in the vertical postion when you turn them off. And when they are on a delay, they also are vertical instead of going down to the bottom. It never did it until I replaced the motor. So I probably just did something wrong. Can anyone help???

Try disconnecting the wiper motor from the arm the drives the wipers. Push the wipers into the down position. Turn the motor on and then off. When the motor is in the off postion, reconnect the the arm and bolt the motor back in place.

I have a similar problem, the wipers dont stay vertical, they just wont sit properly at the bottom of the windsheild. They stay on the windwsheild about 3 or 4 inches above the holder. Can that be fixed the same way ?

Just like 87 GP said, the wiper motor has a 'stop' position. The stop is where the wiper will... stop... when off or at rest. Do like he said and it will reset the stop to where it should be.
