well... why don't you put a bigger exhaust on and maybe bore it a a little. but why grand am? if its a pontiac why not a GTO? oh well. oh i think you should also make the gears bigger to lessen the RPMS.

hahahahah...yes.......no....you would have to upgrade the manifolds so you do not create too much pressure...the flywheel may need changing due to the extra RPM...other than that no it will not explode.........it might it you light the car on fire...

i wouldn't sugesst it, the engine is designed to run the way it is without any modifications. By the way, is Funk your last name? If it is we share the same last name.

turbocharged it? its a '99 GT (3.4L V6, 175hp). FWD.
Unfortunatly Most passenger car engines are NOT designed to allow much in the way of Boost provided by either a Supercharger or Turbo , it can be done but I know of no one who makes aftermarket systems to directly fit that engine ...
and off hand It would be an expensive proposition to fabricate exhaust and intake systems for the car ..
what it boils down to is your Grand Am is a passenger car Not a Racecar it would be ill advised to treat it like one.
Sorry but I tell that to the Honda Guys all the time also..
