Would this be crazy enough to work?

I recently had a crazy idea pop into my head. Would it be possible, if not wise, to swap Ferrari's 458 Italia motor into a Fiero? Yes or no, what difficulties can anyone envision?

Haha to my crazy idea.

Well let us know how it goes, the engine is probably 10's of thousands of dollars more expensive than the car. Putting that aside you need the dimensions of the engine and it's mounting points and it's electronic requirements and how it's going to connect to what transmission, etc.

I really do not believe it will work without redesigning the whole rear end..a guy put a quad4/2.4 twin cam in one and only had a inch worth of room on the bottom..sooooo I say "yes" to the idea and "no" to the cost..

eBay has quite the deal on the 592hp engine; $14,000. I am bouncing ideas off of everyone. now I have the notion to put the Fiero back into concept design; addressing all problems that were wrong with it and redesigning the interior and exterior. Alas, this may take a few years to draw anyhow. Has anyone ever ask the question, "What would the Fiero look like if it was still in production in the last 5 years"?

just buy a furrari body kit and drop it on there and resell it for 20 grand :p
jk
idk ANYTHING about exotic cars. but i do know you can have a furrari with a 2.5 or a 2.8l on a fiero frame!

I'm not interested in destroying the Fiero. Just add more power and make it 2013/14 concept design.
