Hello and thanks for reading this post. I am posting it and requesting your assistance to help make my daughter's Pontiac safer to drive. I bought my youngest daughter a Torrent that has aftermarket wheels and tires on it. The larger tires and wheel offset have affected the steering in a negative way. The steering is much too quick, and it over-steers. How do I know? My older daughter has a Torrent as well. Hers has stock wheels/tires and is much more forgiving.

Does anyone have a set of Torrent wheels they no longer need? I would be interested in the tires as well if you still have them. I'm looking to purchase a set, but I'd be happy to discuss a trade for these aftermarket wheels/tires if you want to jazz yours up a little. They do look good, but not the right choice for a 19 year old with a two month old baby.

Thank you again for reading this.

Before you go doing that, have you checked if the tire pressure when cold is correctly set? Have you had the front alignment checked/adjusted?

We have 20" aftermarket wheels on our torrent and have no issues what so ever what your describing sounds like a steering rack on its way out or a major alignment needs to be done. Also check ball joints and tie rods as well if they are bad it will effect your steering and responsiveness as well.
