I just got a new to me ride and was wondering if the overhead console with compass will work in my truck that doesn't have it now? Is it a plug and play set up? I just swapped out non power seats for power and just had to find the connection under the carpet. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You will find like you already have it is cheaper for manufactures to just leave out accessories that the vehicle does not call for on a build sheet.
I have see cars in the past that did not come with a radio have speakers installed just plug in a radio and antenna and the system was complete.
So I would be surprised if the connection wasn't present for the console.
Yet it does not hurt to take a peek before buying any parts.

Thanks for the reply. I got some extra parts in a trade so it didn't cost me anything more. I pulled the On Star console down but didn't see an extra plug. I may have to try looking again. Thanks.

You may need the compass module to make it work.
