Has anyone tried this engine lubricant? Found a lone quart bottle at Walmart for $6 and couldn't pass it up. I've heard very good things about it and wanted to see for myself. The rule is to add 4oz of fluid per 10 gallons of gas, so a full tank would equate to 6.4oz (190ml). I've driven a quarter tank's worth of gas with it without ill effect besides a P0171 that popped up (lean conditions). Could be some debris passing around the O² knocked off by the MMO, or possibly intake related because of my new drop-in filter. Anyways, I'll continue to run this and see if my mileage or performance gets a boost. If anyone has some experience or feedback on the subject, I'd love to hear it

It's been around for decades. If your engine is in good condition, low deposits, it wont make any difference. If you have deposits on the intake valves it may clean them up to some extent. Let us know if you notice any difference.

Engine has run 212k kilometers on cheap gas, cheap oil, cheap filters and low loads, so I would imagine it isn't the cleanest in there. Will definitely let you know how things progress

2nd P0171 in a week..

why are you continuing to use it when it appears to be effecting your front oxygen sensor?

Codes are easy enough to erase with my pocket scanner. Needless to say I don't think I'll be buying this product again

Decided to check the filter again just for kicks. It was still sparkling clean, but I noticed part of the tubing into the TB was folded over and kinked by the screw collar. Made a nice little gap where air can easily get in and mess with the metering. Set it straight, hopefully that fixes the lean codes and it's not the MMO

Not a fan of "mechanic in a bottle." The best thing you can do for your engine is regular oil changes with the manufacturer-recommended spec oil of a quality brand. Sometimes, additives can cover up a problem for awhile. Used car dealers are big-time buyers of the stuff for that reason.
