I recently bought a Hurst Dual Gate shifter on eBay for my T/A. It has the T-handle with the button, which was a selling point, but unfortunately the seller wasn't straight with me about the button being functional. Shame on me for not requesting more/better pictures. Anyway, I from what I understand, the button isn't meant to be serviceable, but has anyone here rewired or replaced it? I know I can buy a new one, but I'm stubborn and cheap.
Thanks!

what Hurst Dual Gate shifter did you buy? Everyone I see has a round shift ball, no knob. Please post a picture.

I Emailed Hurst to see if the button is replaceable, I've seen dual gates with t handles before ( Hurst universal ) but not with buttons. Doug in P.R.

It was meant for second gen Camaro/Firebird and is a direct fit with correct trim plate. It's not perfect, but with a little more clean up I think it's presentable.

I don't know if this is the original handle, (I suspect it's not) but I would have installed one if it hadn't come this way.
I appreciate your initiative, guess I should have contacted the company by now, but I also wanted to see if anyone had come up with any cool ideas.

No reply from Hurst as of yet, the ones I seen back in the 90's had black plastic T-handles and would fit in any car.( stand alone shifter )
You can still buy the T-handles with buttons if they say the button can't be replaced but pricey. Doug in P.R.

Excellent! I looked for the button online, but never ran across it. I thought I was going to have to retrofit.
Thanks!
