My buddy has a 2003 Pontiac grand am gt. It has the monsoon package or whatever. I’m trying to install a pioneer Bluetooth radio cause his original is crap and barely works anymore. I wired it all and the whole cluster stops working no turn signals and speakers won’t work I had to find the ignition wire from the factory harness so the radio turns on and but still no sound. I’m know I need to get switched power to the factory monsoon speaker amp to get them to work. But I can’t figure out which one. Everywhere they say the dark green wire but there’s two of them and I tried both and don’t work

You need to buy the correct wire harness connector and sometimes additional hardware. Go to www.crutchfield.com to see what is needed.

that site doesn’t have anything that’ll work. And I already am using the correct connector. For whatever reason it was really hard to find one that would work. But apparently it still doesn’t

Exactly what are you using to connect the radio?

Are you powering the radio with thr ignition wire from whatever harness you're referring to? The new radio needs to be powered off it's own wire tapped into the fuse box. Using an "add a circuit" on the windshield wiper fuse has proven successful.

Don't worry about getting switched power to amp itself, as long as the head units wired correctly and it gets its dedicated power, the amp should take care of itself. I've always had an aftermarket head unit, and I've never even come close to touching the amp and it's always worked great.
